Attired in smock, floppy hat and carrying all the necessary paraphernalia we saw a reincarnation of van Gogh himself. It was an amazing transformation which set the tone for the whole evening when we were taken on an unforgettable journey (illustrated with excellent slides) retracing the footsteps of the master. Anthony Slinn has caught our eye as a lecturer because, with great enthusiasm he has developed his performance by being entirely self-sufficient, he carries all that is necessary for a painter to deal with highly individual talks.
